I've got some awesome news! Our patience has paid off - this morning I got an email from the Hasbro PR guys inviting Echo Base Forums to participate in this year's Q&A sessions!

A couple important details from the email:

·       Hasbro’s STAR WARS 2010 Q&A will include twelve (12) rounds
·       Participating outlets will submit two (2) questions per round – no longer three (3)

This thread is for forum members to suggest questions. The answers will be posted in a separate thread once it gets going.

Have fun! Cool

That's great!  I have a bunch of things I'd like to ask.  I'm looking forward to seeing the upcoming schedule!

I think we should ask Hasbro about having figures re-released with new paint apps.  Hasbro is always talking about cost saving measures and what is a better cost saving measure than a repaint?

I am having a problem with posting the messages.  Sorry for repeating and typing so much.

There are so many astromechs and protocol droids that could be made from both the movies and the animated series that would cut costs for Hasbro and put out more product for kids and collectors alike.

And we should ask about a repaint for the gonk droid in vintage colors (with repainted helper droid, too).

Actually, I'm curious as to why Hasbro does not take more liberties with various figures and release them with new paint apps.  Why hasn't the Capt. Rex figure been repainted in orange?  or  red? or green?  the same about Com. Cody, why hasn't Cody been repainted in blue, or green, or purple?

Repainting clones seems like a win/win situation to me

I've read 2 different toy reviews on 2 different collector sites about Star Wars, and apparently Hasbro has changed the

Clone Wars clone trooper body mold.  The upcoming Commander Stone will debut the new mold.  It will have less

articulation than the Rex/Cody molds.  No ankle joint, no waist joint and only a swivel wrist.  My question is this, "Why

change a good thing?  No, not a good thing.  I mean why change a great thing?  Wouldn't it be cheaper to make 1 less

new figure and produce 2 repaints, than to spend money on replacing a mold that does not need replacing?

Here's my Question.
Dear Hasbro,
With the Popularity of Karen Traviss's Commando Novels and Mandalorians in General,
Can We Expect to See a Single card release of the New Clone Commando mold from
The Evolutions Set in The Future or A Animated Version if they Make An Appearance in the CW Series?

Dear Hasbro, first I'd just like to say, thank you for the upcoming Teek figure - he has a strong following and is sure to be a beloved addition to many collections.  My question is about the multipack he is included in, it seems like Teek is the most popular and the other figures seem to be falling flat, even Kaink - who is an in-demand ewok but isnt getting much praise because of the softgoods hood, lack of clothing, and accessories.  If this set doesnt sell through because of the poor figure choices, will it hurt the chances of future characters from the Ewoks movies being made?  Eventhough its apparent that there is demand for them, but not for the other figures in the set.

I was wondering if Hasbro has considered making any figures based off the Clone Wars online comic?

The online comic has a great amount of characters to choose from and it supports the Clone Wars tv series.

In addition to making new figures such as Jedi Master Ares Nune, or Padawan Tonzet Xebec there are a multitude of

unique clones such as Commander Kite, Mag, Shiv and Ganch that could easily be made using existing molds.

The Clone Wars episode "Trespass" was a great episode and as a result of it Hasbro has made the Freeco speeder, and is

set to produce cold weather versions of Anakan, Obi-Wan and Captain Rex plus the Talz king and possibly Talz warriors.

With so many toys coming form a single episode, do you think you could also make Chairman Cho and Senator Chuchi at

some point?  Chairman Cho was killed while fighting the Talz.  Senator Chuchi ended the fighting and brought peace to

the Talz and her people.  She also has been seen in two more episodes of  the series.  Those two characters have had

just as important and exciting role as any other from that episode.

Can we expect to see more CW style 3PO model protocol droids in the future?  The second season seems to have a great

deal of them in a variety of colors, and it would be a shame to waste a really good mold.

The same could be said for astromechs as well.

Also, is there any chance of producing the plunk-droid?  Those droids have been spotted several times and in a

multitude of colors as well.

Hasbro has done the fan's favorite poll and has even asked what figures should be re-released trying to get as much

imput from the fans as possible.  Would you consider a build your own battle-pack type of contest?  Fans could submit

there ideas for battle-packs using only existing molds.  Or, what about a vehicle repaint contest?

The Star Wars red/white packaging colors were choosen by Hasbro in part because of Captain Fordo.  Why was that

figure not made while the packaging  was inspired by him?  I would think that a simple repaint of Captain Rex would have

been eagerly received by collectors and kids alike.

I have a similar question - I'd like to see C-3PO and Boba Fett in their original animated colors from the Droids cartoon series, by way of repainted CW figures - any chance of that?  It would make an awesome crossover.

While watching The Clone Wars episode "Lightsaber Lost", I noticed that one of the mug-shots that Ahsoka looked at

appeared to be one of the Tonnika Sisters.  If this is correct, would Hasbro consider making one of the Tonnika Sisters

in the CW stlye?
